Under 18 Volunteering
There are some age restrictions which are set by the provider and not the Volunteer Centre.

Some Questions which we have been asked in the past may assist you:

Why should a young person volunteer?
There are many advantages to volunteering whilst you are in education.  This could give you confidence and experience within the working environment and could get you a paid job.

Why should i have a young person volunteering in my organisation?
The young person can give you and your clients a different outlook on things and obviously they can gain valuable work experience.

Do i need to have a DBS check if i have a young person volunteering with my organisation?
No the young person is `working' with you therefore you do not require any safeguarding training or a DBS check.  This is only required if the young person is a client.
